Sideshore and Karin Herzig Architecture took part in the “Wunnquartier Stade” urban planning competition, which formed part of the project to develop the site of the current Josy Barthel Stadium, and surrounding areas along Route d’Arlon in Luxembourg City. The main purpose of the project was to repurpose the current properties on the site, creating a residential district with varied and affordable housing, as well as shops, communal areas, leisure areas, a crèche, sports facilities and playgrounds.
